If you have 3 days:
- Organize a Youth Speakout where
youth and adults talk about the power of youth voice. Invite community members and
policy makers.
- Host a training for youth and
adults about how to serve together on boards and councils.
If you have 3 hours:
- Write a letter to the editor
about how young people should be involved more in community decision-making.
- Write a letter to your representatives
in Congress, asking them to get input from young people when they vote on policies
that affect youth.
If you have 3 minutes:
- Invite some young people to your
next staff meeting or board meeting to offer feedback.
- Refuse to attend meetings unless
young people will be participating or make your participation conditional on being
able to bring young people with you.
