Educating
Global
Leaders
Sherman
Teichman, Heather Barry
As Educators and practitioners lament the lack of informed involvement of young people
in their civic communities, EPIIC (Education for Public Inquiry and Internaional
Citizenship) is working to promote the active engagement and leadership of young
people in global and national issues. With overviews from the program directors and
through the words of its students, this article describes the EPIIC program at Tufts
University, its high school counterpart, INQUIRY, and how their innovative curricula
promote meaningful dialogue and inspire learning. |
