The University of CA seeks a career-track academic to provide an educational and applied research program on youth issues with a focus on adolescent development throughout Riverside County.

  • Conduct applied research independently or in cooperation with Ext. Specialists, other Advisors, UC faculty and local agency personnel.
  • Collaborate with local youth-serving agencies on planning and development activities.
  • Develop and coordinate non-formal educational programs for adults working with youth; and an educational program useful to volunteers, particularly 4-H leaders in the county, and to parents.
  • Provide oversight to the 4-H program.

Master's degree in Education, Adolescent Development, or a closely related field is required. Two or more years of paid employment in any of the following is essential:

  • Cooperative Extension or similar youth-serving organization;
  • Teaching adolescents in either formal or non-formal settings;
  • Teaching parents, volunteers, or youth-serving professionals.
